Grandma Johanka with her 9-year old grandson Sveťo deal with all questions that the life brings to them. The contemporary world comes across the fragments of memories of the war, as it was formerly experienced by the grandma as a young girl. The prosaic text written by Jana Šimulčíková, a journalist and a writer, is supplemented by photographs of the time, that bring the life in the past closer to the children. The historian Jozef Bystrický communicates the events, facts, and truths concerning the World War II in a way, that the older children become interested and fill in the gap of the period, about which it is necessary to talk, write and read. The book was awarded The Best Children's Book of the Fall 2013.
