It is a poeticised tale about love combined with Slovak pre-wedding customs. The author starts the biblical tale about love with the bride kidnapping and continues with the scene of the wedding night under the open sky. And here comes the affectionate dialogue between the bride and the bridegroom. However, the bride's family is not able to accept the kidnap, they search for her, and therefore, the lovers try to hide from them. Each episode of the piece is opened by prosaic text, in which Ľubomír Feldek explains context of the time, and at the same time he is in a role of the narrator. Through the ancient story full of harmony and tender consonance, we are reminded of how strongly the emotional intensity bind man and woman together. The book may be an inspiration for the reader to perceive the relationship between partners as more romantic than it usually is nowadays. The book was awarded The Best Children's Book of the Fall 2014 and The honorary deed of the IBBY 2016 for literary piece.
