La rama seca del cerezo

 Hiroshima, 1945. Ichiro and Masuji play in the streets of the city just before the fall of the atomic bomb.
Present-day, Hiroshima. Sakura, a teenager with a hand deformity, survives the taunts of her classmates and family isolation. She thinks her mother doesn't love her and barely sees her work-absorbed father. Aiko, her only friend, lives in another city and they communicate virtually. Sakura's greatest dream is to become a manga artist, but she doubts that this will ever happen.
 
But Sakura's life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with little Tetsuo and an elderly survivor of the Hiroshima bombing who has a big secret.
