Les choses qui s'en vont

This beautiful, poetic and moving album tells the story of change in time. The device is based on a tracing page, covered with a few black lines, which is placed between each double page and shows the change when it is turned. Hair becomes a moustache, closed eyes open, tears dry up... The author evokes with humour and sensitivity all that passes, goes away, through the changes that children are confronted with. And she does so in a positive, hopeful way, striving to show favourable developments (lice and fears disappear), all the more so as the mother's benevolent and unconditional love will never cease.
