The escape is the first book of an adventure series, set in the time and space of the migration of peoples at the end of the 6th century. The story follows the five children of the commander of the Slavic army. While their father is expanding the Slavic territory to the west, the children are left to bad intentions of his opponents. But Ognjen's children are far from an easy opponent: the cunning healer Ajda, the beautiful Mila, who is followed by all the animals, and the triplets - masters of the sling, bow and sword, intend to put on a fight. When Ajda and Mila narrowly escape death in the abyss, the five children and their grandmother set out on a journey. They have to find refuge in the wild nature, escape the pursuers, survive the winter and make their way to the brotherhoods along the Dnieper, where they hope to find help. In the suspenseful novel, the author captures the turbulent events of this historical period and intertwines it with his imagination.
