A little bunny waiting for his next drip in the forest treatment room accidentally saves a wolf from a hunter's bullet. Thus begins the unplanned journey of an unusual duo. Bound by the wolf code, the rescued wolf must return the favour to the bunny. A heart-warmingly cheerful journey unfolds, at the end of which bunny and wolf are not only firmly bonded, but also overcome a serious illness. The comic, which skilfully works with the formal possibilities of panel frames and sequences, can be read on several levels with its colourful and strong visual language. It addresses the most diverse ranges of experience. Anyone who has already experienced cancer will quickly recognise what the bunny has to deal with. However, as this is never explicitly verbalised, the story can also be read as an eventful road trip that focuses on the development of a friendship. Josephine Mark takes up the established pattern of the road novel and translates it into a successful visual language for comics. She embeds countless references to popular culture media, quotes film shots and creates a multi-layered, humorous, never simplistic text.
